Watercolor Practice {Process Post}

Last night, I was craving some good ol' traditional drawings so I took out my hand dandy notebook and got to scribbling. ^ u^

I did a couple of pretty simple pictures of girls and flowers, things I enjoy a lot. I have been trying to evolve my traditional style to be a bit more simple and expressive.

I think a good technique to get crisper lines is to not think too hard about making it perfect. I stop trying really hard to connect the lines and making the lines too bold. When I did that in the past, my fingers shake a little and make things too wobbly! I am really happy that I can get sharp lines last night. I hope that with time, I can improve and get more precise but still using sharper lines!

I love the gold sparkles of my tambi gansai watercolor set so I mixed my normal colors with the gold to get a nice shimmering effect on the colors. It's something I will love to do again!
