Vanilla - July Postcard Design + Stickers

Hello I'm pretty busy packaging June Patreon rewards to do much drawing so today I want to share with you the July postcard designs with my thoughts :D

Postcard: 

The postcard is double sided with full color printing on both sides. For the front I was just going for a simply breezy look for Vanilla and have her be less stiff of a character. It was a challenge for me to work with transparency for this theme but it's always cool to learn it.  I am a little happy with how I add a little bit of yellow in her glasses. It's not realistic but in this case you can really see her eyes better! 

The back of the postcard is a very simple sketch. Because it's so simple, I thought it will be nice to make it feel a little bit more editorial like a magazine page. I added a lot of foil to the image to really make it rich so that both sides of the postcard is fun to look at! The reason why it was a double side postcard is honestly for budget reasons. ; -; I have a lot ideas for this theme so I really try to take advantage of the surfaces available. 

Sticker

For the sticker design, I thought it will be nice to do daily life of my vanilla girl. So her eating vanilla ice cream, watering plants, moving plants. ^ o^ (these not realistic sizes of vanilla plants!) When I do stickers, I try to make the smaller size ones make sense for journaling purposes. I also added a splash of foil to it. I'm not sure how it will turn out but I always want to add a grungy splash foil to my designs because it looks cool. :D
