Seashell {Process Post}

A doodle of a girl listening to the sounds of the ocean. I have been rather obsessed with seashells lately so this is a drawing to drive the thought away from my mind and just have a placeholder idea. I want to clean it up or expand on it later... I love themes about modern and nature!

For inspiration, I pull together colors and shapes from shells such as the creamy pinks and oranges as well as scalloped ridges as shapes. On her neck is a necklace with a pearl and her ankle has a string of shells to accessorize a simple outfit of a tshirt and shorts. If I were to design it even harder I might customize her shows even more to have accents of a mollusk but I do like a simple band. 

The idea of a shell headphone is not a new one as google quickly showed me but I feel that the concept is not explored enough. I thought about a scallop shell looking more simple than a conch shell. For the band, it will be really cool to do a metal wiring work matching the waves of the ocean. The sound controller looks like a starfish just because! It can also be a snail shell :) I have been brewing over these thoughts for days and I am happy to be able to express it on the drawing / w /
