Sakura Mochi

A doodle I did this weekend! I just feel like doodling lately. 

I went to Mitsuwa (local Japanese market) and I bought some Sakura flavored mochi and they are so good! The green is the mung bean filling. I really like the color and look of the mochi so I want to do some drawings of it.

This is an interesting drawing practice because I want to try doodling but not zoomed in so close. So the canvas is really big for a doodle. Normally I will draw at the canvas zoomed it at 200-300% but for this picture I want to learn how to draw at 100% to overcome a weakness of drawing in small canvas.

After drawing it, I find that I really like the colors of pink, white and green. Maybe it will be a pin theme color. Characters I draw do come back as pin designs eventually. I need to find the inspiration to do it. Otherwise, I feel that it is a waste to draw so many themes but never go back it it :D
