Metal Goldfish Workshop {Process Post}

Full size postcard design for May. (its a really large drawing, 8" x 12" so feel free it print it for personal use since I will only print it as a postcard)

I really love this theme and drew a lot for it. It's a good opportunity to practice on metal, lighting and a more dustier color scheme. 

For this design, I drew the reference first before drawing the postcard but in the end, I broke all the reference rules because each product needs a different consideration and the design almost got too complicated for a pin theme. For themes, I like to draw designs that are simple and approachable. How does the character have a story to tell in a few pictures?

On the postcard, I added a ribbon on the back and gold dots on the dress. And for the pin design, I had to remove the dots on her eyes because it was looking like a mistake. >< And also remove the black gloves because it was an extra color. But overall I think the design is cohesive.
