Happy Miku Day 2021 {Process Post}

I try to draw something every year for Miku day ^ u^  and I must fit it into my schedule this year! 

Miku is drawn with a custom design casual wear outfit in the style that I love to drawn in so much, and for this illustration I try to experiment a little with adding back lighting to her hair. It's a simple technique where I color parts the same as the background color.

I designed a logo for fun to go with her headphones using the numbers 3 + 9 in a sort of mechanical way. The logo was drawn freehand on Sai because even though I am a graphic designer, I will go out of my way to do not do graphic design typography when I draw for fun. It's my non-work time! I can already see that the spacing on "Miku Day" is not accurate *screams*
