Happy Lunar Festival

Hello! Here to share a drawing I did for the Lunar Festival. It's a holiday that my family celebrates every year and basically we get together, eat mooncakes and enjoy a huge meal. For this drawing, I included a lot of motifs symbolic of the holiday such as white rabbits, gold and red flowers and the moon. 

The girl character I drew is inspired by the white rabbit. She has twin tails hair (like ears!) and red eyes. I want to make her look modern but still enveloped by a blanket that looks like the night sky. :D 

I don't do this often but this drawing really calls for embellishments of gold textures. I sourced some patterns online and overlay them on swirls and details in the background. It really brings a bit of dimension to the drawing compared to without it.
