Dollhouse & Key - November Theme {Process Post}
Good day, November is the time of staying more at home from the cooling weather. I want to think of a theme that relates to the home and hence Dollhouse & Key is born.
Dollhouse & Key is a straightforward design. I want to draw something lacy with a vintage color scheme. For inspiration, I looked at harajuku and doll fashion to draw a girl wearing an elegant dress. I want her postcard design to be holding a key to the dollhouse which will open up in the sticker sheet design! So in a way, it is a matching pair.
Originally, I want her to draw a balcony background design but I feel composititionally, it takes away from the details of her outfit. I decided to proceed with a simple wallpaper background.

The sticker sheet is inspired by a opened dollhouse and it's room. It was probably one of the most packed sticker design I ever tried and when I was drawing it, I was worried that the details will look too small but in the end, it turned out good! Most of my themes involve drawing the same outfit multiple times so I find it fun to dress my Dollhouse & Key character in multiple outfits, afterall, a well dressed character will not wear the same thing everyday.
My favorite outfit of the bunch is the piano outfit! I drew a cat and a bird on top of the rooftop because I feel like it was looking too empty on the top and I want to add some extra stickers for you.
