Coral Ocean {Process Post}

I want to show in person the full size art of the June postcard so that you can see the details of it! Recently I shipped all the rewards so you should get the June reward, Coral Ocean soon.

When I first thought of the design for coral ocean, I know that I want to mix the colors of summers and make it super pastel so it will be warm and comfortable. After the serious mood of the Kintsugi and Collector pin theme, Coral Ocean is a more bright and joyful concept.

A character rests lazily on a float and stare into the summer sun. Below her is a shallow reef with exposed coral. I actually did a bit of research on coral before doing this theme because I want to know if people can actually swim like that among coral. And the result is: don't do it because it is rather unsafe for coral and natural coral is protected!

But in this situation, it is a fantasy picture so it is fine haha. 

The tourist wears a comfortable but modest swimsuit with beach shorts. A sheer shirt is tied on her waist so that she looks a bit more fashionable. A sunhat protects her from the scorching heat. She wears a coral bracelet to commemorate her trip! 

For the sticker theme, I want to draw her doing touristy things. Sometimes, when designing sticker designs, I imagine how people will want to use the stickers and in this case, I thought it will look cute as an indicator for vacation day. So the stickers are tiny and icon-like. But to show the theme better, I drew the character sitting on a bed of coral. I can't wait for you to receive the sticker because you will be able to see the holographic foil I placed on it! ;DD
