Birdcage - Yellow Canary {Process Post}

Hello hello! I found some time to type out my thoughts on August Patreon reward!

August Patreon theme is the second part of the Birdcage series. I named this theme Yellow Canary even though, I am not sure ... if the bird is a canary! But lets imagine that it is.

Compared to White Dove, Yellow Canary is more joyful and enjoys writing stories. I drew her often with a thoughtful and inquisitive face. She is also a bit more boyish than Yellow Canary. Her outfit has a hoodie and messy cords. Sometimes her hair will be messily tied up. Coloring her hair was the best; I love the yellow color that was chosen for her!

This month's reward was one of the hardest I ever drew!

Because I spent a ton of effort on July's month, August must look equally as consistent. It was really difficult to keep the style of coloring the same as I like to vary my effort across different pieces haha. For me, drawing something twice is harder than drawing something once because the joy of learning is gone and it feels like repeating to me. I always like to test new coloring techniques with all my art (despite it looks the same...I swear its different in my eyes!) But after receiving the finished piece in my hands...my tired fingers are worth it!
