42 Arknight Chibis Done! {Process Post}
After months and months I am finally done with my 3rd and final volume of Arknights stickers! In this Volume I tried my best to fit as many characters that I love and that you requested. u vu. For that reason, this Volume has so many 6 star operators.
Some Overall Thoughts
Now that these are done, I will have to go back and revised a few designs to make sure they can fit into the gacha envelopes. For example, Ling's hair is a bit too wide, so I will tuck them in, but overall, there won't be much changes.
Last Minute Adds!
With the released of the vey hyped Goldenglow, I managed to squeeze her in the last minute because her design is super cute. I also fit in Ling because I already drew Nian and Dusk :D
Operators I wish I could draw
There are some designs I thought look amazing but I am not able to fit them or have the skill to draw. Three designs in particular was Patriot (for bonus to match Frostnova), Lee and Hellagur. Amazing designs but the style is not something I am capable of. I am also not able to fit some of the 6* characters such as Rainbow 6 team Ash, Gladiia, Pallas, etc. There was just so many characters to draw. Some of other 4*/5* characters designs I love as well and couldn't fit: Aurora, May, Frolinic (actually sketched her...), Elysium (IM SORRY THORNS), Absinthe, Purestream/9 Color Deer.
Style Change
The first operator I drew for this set was Suzuran almost a year ago. My style changed so much then. As I drew this set slowly, I keep having to go back and redraw or edit many characters to match with the style so that the set doesn't look too off. Looking at Suzuran and Goldenglow, I felt that I started to add a lot more details to my chibis. ^^
Redraw Hellllll
Ugh so many redraws due to style change with Phantom being the worst! It's through sheer willpower and the thought that I need to draw him that I finished but overall I went through about 5 versions of him before getting him to a style/mood that fit his character. It's even harder when his E1/E2 art looks super different so its hard to choose.
Ayerscape was a redraw as well because I felt like I didn't do justice to his character. He looks so poofy. I left his redraw for last after I am more confident in chibifying him. The other redraws are mostly minor details.
Didn't make the final cut
Two characters didn't make the final version even though they are finished already. It's Arlene and Flint. I wasn't able to convert Arlene's floating wings into a style that I am able to cut as a sticker. Overall I felt I drew him terribly Q_Q even though he looks so good in the game. Same with Flint. I tried so so hard with her because I love her in the story, so cute!! But in the end, I am not able to make Flint looks like the funny and cool character she is so alas.
