March 2026 Theme Announcement: "Explorer"

Good day, March's theme is Explorer featuring a girl who dreams to map the world one day! This theme was thought of while I was in a fine art documentary binge watching about the life of J.M.W. Turner, one of the most promient English artists. He paints the most beautiful clouds I have ever seen!! That, combined with all the natural history videos I am always binging during my work hours made me think of a theme featuring the old age of exploration.
Originally I want to cram a ton of ideas into this theme such as ... putting the character on a boat haha but in the end, because there was so much patternwork going on, I kept her design super simple. As a side note, I redrew that globe about 5 times because I dont want to make the globe look like our planet and also, it is actually super hard to draw a vintage globe! I hope it looks convincing. I put a lot of love in this design and I don't know how well it will be recieved but its something that is really true to my love of natural history documentaries and the journey of exploration and discovery!
The "Explorer" pin is a gold metal, 37.8 x 45.7mm hard enamel pin, and features 2 butterfly clutches on the back so that it's extra secure. The birds on the pin will be a pearl shimmer finish. I hope it turns out ok!
