April 2025 Theme Announcement: "Birdwatching"

April's theme is Birdwatching, featuring a character who likes to carry some binoculars on her days off and look at local bird species!

The color scheme for her design is based off a barn swallow so her hues are orange, blue and white. Her hair is long and inspired by bird tails with a similar orange and white striping pattern! I had a really tough time with this design because I actually wanted to draw realistic looking birds but drawing birds is difficult so in the end, they are very fantasy inspired. For example, the "crane" is both inspired by a hill crane and a greater heron. I thought, might as well go full fantasy on this I guess if I cannot draw realistic birds. Most of the birds here are mixes and combos of different birds but because they mostly look like birds in the end, I will just call them ... bird haha.

The "Birdwatching" pin is a black nickel metal, 46mm x 42.6mm hard enamel pin, and features 2 butterfly clutches on the back so that it's extra secure.

This month, all Patreons will also receive a 4 inch PVC bookmark of the character so you can bookmark your adventures in the journals or stories you read. The PVC bookmark will come with a navy blue ribbon. I am testing a new supplier for it so I hope it goes well!
